Project Portfolio · Big Island, Hawai'i

Three Houses.
One Vision.
Completely Rebuilt.

One diverse property. Three structures. Every surface, every space, every detail reconsidered — by hand, with intention, without compromise.

Project One

Mango House

Full Exterior Rebuild · Kitchen Transformation · Outdoor Luxury Spa

Exterior · Entry · Hand-Carved Curved Portico

"Every beam and rafter hand-carved for a gentle, welcoming arc."

Rotted painted stairs replaced with Alaskan Yellow Cedar clear grain. Handmade timber handrails. The curved polycarbonate entry portico — every rafter hand-carved to achieve that gentle welcoming arc. Fresh siding, standing seam metal roof, manicured grounds, stone pathway.

Kitchen · We Raised the Roof

"Dark, low, no flow — to a chef's oasis. We raised the roof. We raised the windows. We reimagined everything."

The interfering low beam — gone. Roof raised. Windows raised to flood the space with light. Full-slab quartzite backsplash. Professional 6-burner gas range. Three geometric brass pendants. Open island with wine fridge. A dark utility kitchen became a chef's oasis.

Outdoor Spa · From Rotted Porch to Resort Oasis

"A forgotten back porch. Now a destination that makes guests book from 8,000 miles away."

Black stone soaking tub open to the jungle canopy. Dual rainfall shower heads. Curved glass block privacy tower. Large format grey tile. Cable railing with tropical canopy beyond. The space nobody saw — transformed into the feature every guest photographs first.

Project Two

Banyan House

Grand Entry Stairs & Portico · AYC Lanai · Kitchen · Mural Dinner Bar Courtyard

Exterior · Grand Entry Stairs & Peaked Portico

"Skeletal, steep, dangerous — to a grand welcoming staircase with central SS cable railing and a spectacular peaked polycarbonate portico."

Banyan stairs before Before
Banyan exterior after After

Bare painted stringers with no treads — steep, unsafe, unwelcoming. Replaced with a grand AYC staircase — wide, generous, warm. Central handrail with stainless cable. The soaring peaked polycarbonate portico above the entry, two full levels of covered lanai, and on the left — the mural courtyard visible from the street, announcing the whole transformation before you even climb the stairs.

Front Lanai · Sanded Like Fine Furniture

"It feels like butter."

"It feels like butter."

Weathered composite replaced with Alaskan Yellow Cedar — every joint biscuit-joined and glued, seamless as fine cabinetry. Sanded like a piece of furniture. Stainless cable railing with hardwood cap. Because a deck that feels like butter isn't built. It's crafted.

Kitchen · The Vacation Rental that Photographs Like a Hotel

"From closed and dated to open, luminous, and extraordinary."

Three geometric brass pendants. Exposed beam tongue-and-groove ceiling. Marble backsplash. Open island with integrated wine fridge. Professional range. A kitchen that earns its place on every luxury travel platform — and in the memory of every guest who cooked there.

Mural Dinner Bar · From Dirt Floor to Destination

"A dirt floor, weeds, broken windows. I formed and poured the concrete — stamped like lava, stained onyx black, glossy satin finish."

Dirt floor. Damaged windows stacked against weathered walls. No roof. No intention. Transformed into a destination dinner experience: lava-stamped concrete formed, poured, and finished by hand — onyx black, glossy satin. A Koa wood slab bar top on custom steel legs. The polycarbonate roof system above. A full-scale tropical mural covering every surface — mango tree, hibiscus, rainbow, rooster, ocean sunset. Bobby's own bamboo bar stools completing the scene.

Project Three

Bamboo House

Full Structural Rebuild · Outdoor Spa · AYC Deck to Tile Transition

Outdoor Spa · A Second Resort Retreat — Different in Every Way

"The pergola spa. Open to the sky. Closed to the world. AYC deck flowing seamlessly to spa tile — no threshold, no break."

Raw weathered structure stripped and completely rebuilt. The result: a pergola outdoor spa with open lattice roof flooding the space with filtered light. Black stone soaking tub. Exposed pipe dual rainfall shower system. Glass block privacy wall wrapping the perimeter. AYC deck flows seamlessly to spa tile — the cabinetmaker's instinct applied to architecture. One continuous outdoor living experience from sitting room to soaking tub.
